The thinking behind the work – published as we work it out
How far this goes
The deeper argument
A brand built as a living system, not a fixed set of assets – one that stays coherent as it changes shape, because the logic sits underneath the surface, not in it.
This is where the substance-over-surface thesis goes all the way down: what it means to build a brand that’s machine-readable, that holds its character across every surface and every tool, and that gets stronger as the business moves rather than dating the moment it launches.
We have early experiments running on what this looks like in practice. We don’t have it nailed. What we have is a thesis we’re testing in the actual work, with real clients, in real time, and a few observations sturdy enough to share.
